Remembering Canterbury’s War Dead

Canterbury Commemoration Society is delighted to be working with the City Council’s Cemetery Services on a project to update signage at Canterbury’s cemetery, ensuring that the location of the graves of victims of both world wars are clearly identified and remembered.

The new cemetery site map will clearly show for the first time the resting places of the victims of the ‘Baedeker Raid’ of 1st June 1942, as well those who died during the daylight raid of 31st October.

The project also aims to provide several information boards for specific graves of particular significance.
