Our Vice Chair, Charlotte Cornell, who is working on Behn for her PhD at the University of Kent, gave a great talk last week to the newly formed local Aphra Behn Society who hosted a marvellous launch party at Charlton Park in Bishopsbourne. The other speaker was the formidable Prof. Elaine Hobby, who is working with Canterbury Commemoration Society on an exciting tour for the bronze Behn maquettes this summer. We will all treated to great information, great hospitality, and wonderful sunshine!
