On December 6th, the Society concluded a most eventful year with a jolly and well attended Christmas party that raised several hundred pounds for our funds. The highlight of the occasion was Carolyn Oulton’s stimulating talk on Dickens, Canterbury and the genesis of the frequently apocryphal Copperfield Pilgrimage.
