On Thursday 30 May, a team of devoted and inspired theatre lovers met at St Peter’s Anglican Church to read the latest text in CCS’s journey of exploration through the work of Canterbury’s leading playwrights. The superb blank verse and powerful characterization of Christopher Marlowe’s Edward II proved a delight, helping the readers cope with one of English drama’s grimmest scenes.
