Open public reading of ‘a great book’ (Illustrated London News) by a much-neglected novelist. Adapted for the stage in 1937, this will almost certainly be its first public performance for more than three-quarters of a century. A rare opportunity further to explore Canterbury’s extraordinarily rich dramatic heritage.
