Our highly successful Summer Fundraising Party and Raffle on Friday 27 June began with live music from Evelyn Cornell and Brian McHenry’s fascinating tour-talk of St Augustine’s. Then followed a plentiful and delicious meal for our 75+ guests, lively snippets of two Aphra Behn plays performed by the Canterbury Shakespeare Festival players, and the lord mayor-drawn raffle of 19 glittering prizes. All in all, a five-star evening that raised considerable funds for our basket of exciting projects. Thank you everyone, sponsors, guests, St Augustine’s Abbey (especially Juliette), and the hard-working CCS trustees.
