The tragedy of Sarajevo

Before the devastating siege of 1992-96, Sarajevo was a haven of cosmopolitan harmony. Goran Stefanovsky’s eponymous drama Sarajevo, presented by the CCS readers on Thursday 16 October, movingly presents a young woman’s tragic search for the city’s lost soul. The well-attended event was the latest in a long series of CCS readings of plays by Canterbury’s galaxy of magnificent playwrights.
