Joint meeting a great hit

The first ever joint meeting with the Canterbury Branch of the Historical Association, held on Thursday 4 May,  was an undoubted success. The packed hall in the King’s School greatly enjoyed Dr Martin Watts illustrated talk on the city’s Baedeker Raids. One member wrote afterwards to say that it was ‘absolutely fascinating and so well presented … all brilliantly organised in such a wonderful setting.’ The occasion was made even more enjoyable by the King’s school laying on a generous reception beforehand.
