With deep sorrow the Society announces the death earlier this week of Alan Turner, our much loved and deeply respected treasurer. Though he had been ill for several months and his demise was not unexpected, the news is still a bitter blow to his many, many friends and colleagues. Alan served the Society for five years. He brought not only the considerable financial expertise of one who had been a senior partner of PWC, but a spritely sense of humour and a heartwarming geniality. He will be greatly missed, and we extend our sincere condolences to his wife Diana.
