AN APHRA AUTUMN! Save these dates!

The Society is not resting on its laurels after its spectacular summer. More wonderful events about Aphra Behn will take place after the holidays. 

Fri 30 Sept: Claire Amias will perform her solo drama ‘The Masks of Aphra Behn’.

Fri 7 Oct: A reading of Aphra’s ‘The Emperor of the Moon’.

Fri 14 Oct: Jean Baker will give a talk on the theatre manager Sarah Baker who, in the early 18th century, put on Aphra’s ‘Like Brother, Like Son’ in Canterbury.

Fri 18 Nov:  A reading of Aphra’s ‘Abdelazer ‘ (or ‘City Heiress’).

Thur 15 Dec: A Christmas Party preceded by a talk by Nicholas Reid on Aphra & Nell Gwyn.

All these exciting events will take place at St Peter’s Anglican church, 15 St Peter’s Street, Canterbury, CT1 2BQ, at 7pm.
