The Society’s first reading of the year was Eftsoons the Reckynge, a fascinating a new play by Antonie van den Broek. The drama explores the life of the pioneering playwright Christopher Marlowe, seeking clues to explain his mysterious murder in a Deptford pub in 1593. The large cast of CCS volunteer readers thoroughly enjoyed participating in a gripping premiere and were most grateful to Tonny for giving them such a special opportunity.
